Plateliai Visitor Centre provides:

* Guided tours

* Various brochures about Žemaitija National Park

* Permits for amateur fishing

* Detailed information about accommodation at Ecological Training Centre of Plokštinė and other places, museums and other places of interest, possibilities of recreation and tourism in Žemaitija National Park, catering , cultural events in the borough of Plateliai

* Also one can visit Exposition of Nature

* The former underground missile base (The Cold War museum), which was under reconstruction, is now again open for visitors

TO THE ATTENTION OF VISITORS

There is no ATM (automated teller machine) in  the Žemaitijos National Park.  We recommend you to take cash if you plan to pay a visit. The nearest ATM is in Plungė (24 km from Plateliai).

Excursions

Plateliai Visitor Centre organizes cognitive excursions to visit valuables of natural and cultural heritage. Excursions vary in routes and duration. One can go on foot, on bikes, motorless water transport, by cars and buses. Excursions have to be booked in advance.
